Experience
I have taught in Hotsprings, Arkansas and Crosby, Texas before coming back to Lincoln in the fall of 1998. I taught 2nd grade at Sacred Heart for 6 years and in the fall of 2004 took a new challenge by teaching St. John’s Junior High until the present.
Personal History
I was born and grew up in Vung Tau, South Vietnam. In my early years of school, I attended a one-room schoolhouse from K-3rd grade from a private teacher. I attended public school from 4th grade through junior high. I left Vietnam after junior high years but because of the language barrier, I had to repeat 7th grade in Pella, Iowa. At Pius X, Lincoln I skipped freshman, took sophomore classes and left Pius after junior year. I graduated from Hot Springs High in Arkansas, attended Garland County Community College in Hot Springs, and then to Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
My Family
I am the 4th child in the family of 12. During the fall of South Vietnam in April 1975, we left our home and traveled a 3 days-3 nights trip on an American Battle Ship straight to Guam. We lived in refugee camps in Eglin, Florida and Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, and then resided in Pella, Iowa in November 1975. We moved to Lincoln in July 1976 to be with our relatives and also Lincoln had a Vietnamese Catholic community. Most of my siblings got married and moved away. I have 2 sisters (Anh and Sang) with their families are living in Lincoln. Sang is my next door neighbor and Anh is 2 miles away.
My Philosophy
Learning is NEVER an END process; no matter how old or young we are, we will always be in the process of learning new things, especially our CATHOLIC FAITH. That is JESUS CHRIST and HIS CHURCH. And with GOD EVERYTHING is POSSIBLE!

- I enjoy doing yoga, pilates, power walk/jogging, and gardening.
- I eat grapes, apples, and oranges every day.
- I like the color of green (sign of hope).
- I took a pilgrimage to Rome, Assisi, Lourdes, Lisieux, and Paris (St. Catherine Laboure’s shrine).
- I had traveled to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
