How long have you been at St. John School?
This will be my 8th year at St. John’s.
What grade/subject are you teaching? Staff - where will you be working?
2nd grade!
How long have you been teaching and/or when did you start teaching? If Staff - including St. Johns time, how long have you been doing the same type of job?
8th year teaching (all at St. John’s)
What are a couple unique qualities/skills about you?
I love playing/watching volleyball. I love to travel, especially somewhere with a beach. I also enjoy watching football, trying out Pinterest recipes, playing board games and shopping.
What are some personal items the families might like to know?
I graduated from UNL with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. I then came to teach at St. John’s. I’ve been married to my husband, Murphy for 5 years. We have a son, Joshua and another Baby on the way.
Who is your favorite Saint and why?
St. Therese of Lisieux- She is my confirmation saint and I chose her because I admired her little way of trusting Jesus and doing small deeds and sacrifices in trying to be a saint and getting to heaven.
What is your favorite Bible or Saint quote?
Romans 12:12 – “Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, and persevere in prayer.”

Why did you choose to teach at a Catholic school? Or why did you choose to teach at St. John’s?
I chose to teach in a Catholic School because I want to be able to share and talk about God and our faith throughout our days of learning. I want to help students form a true relationship with Jesus that lasts throughout their lives. After all, Heaven is our goal.
