I was a competitive cheerleader in college. My sister also works at St. John's. I think corny/ dad jokes are hilarious.

Who is your favorite Saint and why?

The Virgin Mary is my favorite saint. I feel very close to Mary as new mother.

What is your favorite Bible or Saint quote?

John 8: 4-7 – “They said to him, Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say? They said this to test him, so that they could have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger. But when they continued asking him, he straightened up and said to them, Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
This verse reminds me that no one is perfect, and we should focus on how we can fix our own flaws and not on others flaws.

What is your favorite prayer and why?

The memorare is my favorite prayer because it reminds me that no matter where I am or what I am facing Mary will always have a listening ear and intercede for me.

Why did you choose to teach at a Catholic school? Or why did you choose to teach at St. John’s?

I chose to teach at a Catholic school because my faith plays an important role in how I live my life and I wanted to share that with my students.

Anything else you want to add?

I became a teacher because I love to learn. My students have taught me more than I could have imagined. I can't wait to see what they will teach me this year!
