What are a couple unique qualities/skills about you?
I am well worth over a million dollars in medical bills :) I swam in high school. I have seen a whale up-close and in person. I love to try and play sports, I love being outside, going for walks, and spending time with family & friends!
What are some personal items the families might like to know?
I have been married to my husband Clint for 10 years. Clint went to Junior High at St. John's. Our son Hudson, will be a 3rd grader this year at St. John's. I have my Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood from Southeast Community College, my Bachelors of Applied Science in Early Childhood from Grand Canyon University and my Masters in Curriculum & Education from Doane University. I am finishing up my endorsement for Special Education at Doane University.
Who is your favorite Saint and why?
Job is one of my favorite saints. I love the fact that even through all his trials he continued to love and believe in God. While going through my breast cancer treatment, I was constantly reminded of his sufferings and how he continued to love God.
What is your favorite Bible or Saint quote?
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” - Phillipians 4:13
What is your favorite prayer and why?
I love the Hail Mail. When I say the prayer, I feel as if Mary is wrapping her arms around me and giving me a hug as a mother would to her child who needs a hug.
Why did you choose to teach at a Catholic school? Or why did you choose to teach at St. John’s?
I love teaching at a Catholic School due to the fact that I am free to talk about God, my Catholic faith, along with learning about the faith as I teach. I believe that I am fulfilling the role that Jesus has set out for me by teaching about him, the Catholic beliefs, & being able to role model those beliefs.
